02. Background
I used to search for prompts in the art and design community for my own practice prior to the use of AI tools. Before the use of AI tools, most of the fake briefs were not descriptive enough. However, AI tools such as ChatGPT became more mainstream, and it did generate relevant info to work on.

03. Design Solutions
I took the liberty to change the title based on the current buzzwords. The original title in the brief was ‘Urban Eco-Friendly Fashion Showcase’. A quick Google search reveals that the word often used with fashion is sustainable.
The brief stated that the look and feel was ‘Modern, vibrant, eco-friendly, with a focus on natural textures and materials.’ I wanted to create a flyer that resembles high fashion, but at the same time I wanted to add some rawness to it since sustainable. One of the meaning of sustainable design means reusing whatever we have to create something new. I researched on sustainable fashion design and most of the results were too tacky.
Hence, I went for a minimalist design with added subtle textures to highlight the showcase. I designed this flyer with a mix of Midjourney images and free textures that can be found online.
04. Challenges
The challenge was to create something urban, yet not too tacky. Though it is a fake brief, I was concerned that my design might not be relevant.
05. Final Thoughts
The liberating thing about doing a fake brief is I get to decide on the direction. I do doubt my directions occasionally, but it is better to doubt and experiment, than to doubt and not do anything at all.
