Hi, my name is Lianne. It is pronounced as ‘Lai-Anne’, Dianne with an L. I am an art writer, designer, and artist.
My professional journey began in web and graphic design (not as a web programmer). I pivoted to UI/UX design as mobile adoption surged, driven by a desire to craft more user-friendly and engaging digital experiences across all devices. My brief stint in UI/UX taught me to describe problems and solutions in design clearly, and I apply this approach to my art processes. By pairing this practical experience with a Master of Arts (Visual Arts), I integrate my understanding of visual culture, allowing me to approach design with greater contextual depth.
My work now sits between reflection, research and design, which I document visual culture through my writings and my designs.
